Wednesday April 12 - Safaga Egypt

Most of the people on the ship spent the day on a bus going to Luxor.  Having "done that and been there" we chose to go snorkeling in the Red Sea.  The beautiful reef and fish were amazing.  We set off well past all of the other tour groups doing 10 -13 hr tours.  It was nice not to be stuck in long lines to get off.
The weather here in Egypt was unusually called and I did not expect the water temperature to be as cold as it was. We got in for our first snorkel.  It seemed that the shallower water was even colder than the deeper water, which is unusual. When we got out we were blue and shaking. When we got back in the second time we couldn't stop shaking even underwater so we got out quickly 15 minutes or so .

Thank God we had dried clothes to change into after the second snorkel.
