As we came in the channel past the commercial container port, the smell was a mixture of dog food, fertilizer and a touch of open sewer.
We met a private tour guide at 8:00 a.m. for a tour set up by Shirley and Mark. Our first stop was the Batu Caves
This is a random group photo with locals. It seems to be a sport to take photos with random western tourists. It was fun. This is the third day in a row this has happened
We climbed all of these stairs to get to the cave temple.
After the caves we stopped at the presidential palace then on to lunch at the food court in the central market.
We ask if the take usd or credit cards they say usd, so we order food. We go to pay and they no longer take usd so off marc and I go to the money change office on the lower level of the mall back with the money and they no longer have our food order so back to the food stall to reorder. Then back in line to pay at the central cashier. Our food was delivered before this was even worked out.
After lunch off to do some shopping
Small, medium, large were all relative. Then off to the National Mosque. When we got the it was closed to non Muslims as it was prayer time. Our guide would have been surely aware of this but no matter. They were not happy about me taking pictures either.
We left fairly quickly.
On to another photo stop before returning to the ship
