April 5 & 6 Sea days

After leaving a place like India for the first time there is a lot to process.  It was a world onto itself.  The rich and the poor, the dirt and all of the color, the noises and the smells are all overwhelming in a way that your senses and sensibilities feel assaulted.

The sea days are great to recover from the busy port days.  Reading and watching the sea life

Pilot whale:
Lobster dinner last night on the pool deck was similar to the other events up there.
9:30 talk on the meaning of life (from the western perspective) interesting review, but no new ideas.

4:30 talk by Robin Petch on Nautical Knowledge.  Well attended and interesting talk.

We have crossed the Indian Ocean an most of the Gulf of Aden.  The security measures have been stepped up.  Lots of talk about pirates,  but most on board feel very safe and are not overly concerned.
