Saturday April 1 - Mumbai

Nice sail into Mumbai around noon.  Hundreds of brown headed gulls around the ship on the way in.  The haze and air pollution is astounding.  

Our tour was the last one of the afternoon at 2:15 pm.  

The title said Private art collection and high tea at the Taj hotel.  The Prince of Wales museum was a nice tour by one of the curators.  But it was not a private collection as it was hot and crowded with a few fans scattered around.  The museums collection of painting were not on exhibit as that section was being renovated and the construction made it difficult to hear the guide.

After the museum it was a walk through the streets of Mumbai to the Taj Mahal hotel past the gateway to India

The hotel had sent four of its five stars out for service as tea on the ship has better service and there was no way to dry your hands in the washroom so I was left shaking my hands asif I were at a bus station.  

It was a beautiful building but not the magical experience I had hoped for on my Anniversary.
